Spayed or Neutered Pets:

  • live longer, healthier lives, with the chance of their developing common forms of cancer considerably reduced
  • much less likely to wander - this is popular with neighbors!
  • are less aggressive because when a male dog is unable to breed, as is natural instinct, the frustration often leads to aggression (this is a lot of the reason male dogs attack other dogs and people!)
  • are less nervous, more relaxed, playful and affectionate
  • before he forms the habit, a male cat if neutered young, will not "spray" to mark his territory, which could be all over the house!
  • due to being in reoccurring heat, female cats prevented from mating can experience considerable discomfort
  • when you remember that an average litter is 3 to 4 kittens, and a cat can come into heat 10 days after giving birth (starting at 5 months), you realize how important spaying and neutering is!
