The Hants Co. SPCA does not have its own facility to house dogs.
Dogs that come to us that are "seized" by Cruelty Agents or found
wondering around appearing to be lost or abandoned are Vet examined
and then taken to a boarding facility called Windsor Pet Services. www.geocities.com/windsorpetservices/
The SPCA, of course, is billed a Daily Boarding Fee to house and
feed the animal. The SPCA's only sources of income are
donations from the generous Public and funds raised through
events manned by SPCA volunteers. Therefore, if you lose
your dog and it comes into our possession, the Boarding Fee
must be paid, either to Windsor Pet Services or to the SPCA
if payment has already been remitted.
If you lose your pet, it is advisable to phone the SPCA,
local Veterinarians, your
Animal Control/Dog By-Law Enforcement Officer
(Gary Lunn - West Hants), (Kevin Dearman - East Hants),
the RCMP and your local radio station (AVR).
You should also post a photo of your pet on bulletin boards
with a contact phone number.

This is my dog Buster and he is missing since Thursday April 3/08.
He is
most likely in a kennel. My ex-husband has takin him
without my approval and has
left him at a kennel anywhere
between Bridgewater and Country Harbour
(Antigonish area).

JAZZ is a female, yellow, medium-sized, short haired, 10-year old,
Duck Toller mix with white patches on her feet, chest and forehead.
She was last seen at Webb's Superstore parking lot (Antigonish)
at 6-7pm on Thursday, November 14th. Anyone with information
leading to Jazz being reunited with her family, please call 863-8361

Hi my friend Gloria Maitheswaite lost her dog in a
car accident. Toby is a
miniature poodle. He is all black and has a
tattoo. He was lost in
Pugwash and I don't know which one of your facilities is
closest to Pugwash NS.

timid. Does not go
to people willingly. He has been this way since he was a pup

DOGS WHO HAVE BEEN FOUND!!
**Urgent Notice**
The
Antigonish SPCA has a Black Female Lab in their custody that was found last
night. She has a red collar and it looks like she recently had puppies. The
name on the tag says GATINEAU and the number on it is 10173. She is currently
at the vet getting checked out.

anyone has any information as to who owns this dog please call us immediately at
863-2111. We will try to get a picture online ASAP.
