If you have adopted an animal(s) from the Hants Co. SPCA we would love to print your heartwarming -happy tail here for others to read.  Photos would definitely add a wonderful touch.  Please email us at: tammyandruss@eastlink.ca to be part of our HeartWarmers-Happy Tails page.

This is "Tubs" - recently adopted out from Daniel's Flower Shop.

I would say that he had absolutely no trouble fitting in to his new home!

4 year old Shaunessy holding "Chloe"

I think it was love at first sight for the whole family…what a doll this kitten is.  Shaunessy named her Chloe.  She is adjusting well…eating, drinking, playing, going to the litter box.

We just had her spayed last week and she came through with flying colours. Although she was not
overly impressed with the whole procedure she's adapting nicely...ha ha (she did, however, love the
extra attention she received afterwards). She is a wonderful addition to our family and tolerates
Shaunessy's & Jordan's "overwhelming love" very well. She has been carted around in a doll carriage
(which I actually think she enjoyed), and loves playing a good game of chase. We just love her!

"GG"
(Good Girl)
formerly known as Puddy

Hi,
Just wanted to send a big thank you to your organization and especially Fay, the lady I spoke to regarding the dog "Puddy".... We adopted this beautiful Lab Cross just a few days ago, and she is such a terrific addition to our household.  We have renamed her "GG" because she is such a "Good Girl"!!  A very happy and spoiled dog, as you can tell by her napping on the couch.

She will soon be enjoying our new acreage in Lawrencetown, just a few minutes from the ocean when we move there in just a few weeks.

Thank you again for your excellent animal matchmaking!!  It really was love at first sight when we saw this dog trot out to greet us.  She is wonderful.

"Pye'd Piper"

I have adopted Piper and we are very happy together.  He didn't take long to warm up to my two other cats.  Although one is still grieving with me over the loss of my other cat Micky Mouse.

I am forwarding a couple of pictures to show you how happy he is and how he is doing

He is even settling in to some habits already.  He does a morning walk religiously - up on the bed and all around our heads and over our bodies and down between us while purrrrrrring very loudly until we wake and pat him then he flops down between us.

There are now so many little cute stories I could share with you already.  He is beginning to fall in love with Tibby if you know what I mean.  And Mini even plays with him now that she is feeling better

He has been fixed and is healed, and will be going over soon for the rest of his shots and check up.

He loves watching the birds outside, we have feeders close to the patio door, with the cat tree right there
where he and Tibby spend hours together.

He is not chewing on plastic so much anymore, we use a loud voice and the water gun.  Instead he has lots of toys and last nite after being out for a while when we got home he had all his and the other cats toys gathered into a small pile in the middle of the living room.  So he is a real tidy cat.  Helping gather up all the toys.

Anyway I guess that is enough stories to let you know all about the Pye'd Piper

Thanks

This is the SPCA dog whom we named "Bingo" (SPCA photo)

He was recently adopted and renamed "Cooper"

Here are his latest photos with his new family:

Cooper is a great guy, and very much loved. He still does a little mouthing, but we
figure that is because really he is still a baby. He doesn't seem to know how to play
so for the first few days, he just lay by the fire and chewed his bones. He loves to
chase the kittens, but they are all still here, when we tell him to settle down, he
does. My oldest daughter Jessie, is the one who was just wanting a dog so much, and
makes sure she gets Cooper out for at least 1 walk a day, with us taking him a few
more times. Some days she walks him 3 times herself. It's so great to see her with
him and  he just snuggles on the sofa with our youngest who is 10. He wants nothing
more than  to be petted and loved. Though Jessie says he is quite the bed hog,
he doesn't move once he climbs on, she just wishes he would get a little closer to
the side of the bed. Oh and he snores, fits right in here. Also 2 of our cats came
from your SPCA, we got, Jake from Karen Ward and Moe from Daniels Flower shop.
They are all wonderful pets, we were surprised how easily Cooper fit right in,
it was like he was here always and he will forever have a home with us.
Thanks again, and keep up the great work.
