Everyone Needs a Home for Life

Please ask yourself these questions BEFORE you adopt:

  • Have I checked for allergies in my household?
  • Does everyone in my family want a pet?
  • Do I know how to care for the pet I am thinking of adopting?
  • Are pets allowed where I am living?
  • Do I have the time to care for a pet?
  • Am I willing to spay/neuter my pet? (Humane societies receive thousands of unwanted pets every year).
  • Can I afford to own a pet? (food, vaccinations, flea treatments, etc. needed)
  • Is there a chance I'll be moving in the future?  Will I make sure I can take my pet with me?
  • Will I be able to find care for my pet when I go on holidays, if  it is unable to go with me?
  • Am I willing to "pet-proof" my home to protect my home and pet?
  • Am I willing to supervise my pet when he's outside, or is my pet safe if not supervised?
  • Will I be able to care for my pet as long as he lives? (Dogs & cats can live 15-20 yrs.).

If you answered YES to ALL of the above, you are ready for a new pet.  Visit your local SPCA or Humane Society.  The animals are waiting for a good home and lots of love.
